The lake is approximately 5 miles long running north to south and a mile east to west. When the water is up you can explore Little Jones Creek and find the springs. Head down Outlook River and go to the Withlacoochee River. It is a 141 mile river system that goes all the way to the Gulf of America. Parts of the River are OLD undeveloped Florida. Head south on the river and you will need extra gas to explore all the water. If the Wysong Lock is down you can make it all the way to Rainbow Springs. Lake Panasoffkee is a paradise for people that love the water, fishing, exploring and wildlife.
